On September 23, CYG, in partnership with the Qianhuan Community of Zhuhai High-Tech Zone, organized a meaningful and memorable “Elderly Support – Senior Birthday Celebration” event. The primary objective of this initiative was to provide warmth and care to the elderly, while also promoting China’s cultural values of respect, reverence, and care for seniors, and disseminating positive social energy. Set against the backdrop of autumn, the event was further enriched by the season’s colors and warmth, enhancing the overall atmosphere of the celebration.

The event commenced with a vibrant outdoor gathering under clear skies. The program featured a series of performances by a local dance troupe and volunteers from Sun Yat-sen University. The performers, clad in colorful lion dance costumes and traditional “qipaos”, presented a COMPACT display of traditional Eastern culture, blending graceful movements with lively music that captivated the audience. Their passionate performances infused the event with energy and vitality, receiving an enthusiastic response from all attendees.

To further engage participants, interactive ice-breaking activities and a segment for spontaneous performances created an environment of camaraderie and connection. These activities fostered meaningful interactions among the attendees, generating a joyful and lively atmosphere marked by laughter and applause.

The event was further enriched by the dedicated efforts of community service staff and ten CYG volunteers, who, with care and compassion, ensured that the elderly participants not only enjoyed delicious desserts and heartfelt well-wishes, but also received thoughtfully prepared gifts.
